Description/Job Summary

The Account Exec/Graphic Designer is responsible for translating the company’s vision into visual images using various platforms including web, print, and email. The Multimedia Graphic Designer manages the company’s digital assets and ensures the company’s look and feel aligns with corporate goals. This position performs a wide variety of routine and complex tasks in order to provide graphic support for marketing campaigns including special events, webcasts, and other efforts as needed in addition to the corporate website.


  • Provides direction on visual elements and visual interpretations of company objectives, including, but not limited to: setting and ensuring design standards are met across the company.
  • Creates print and digital marketing collateral as well as sales support materials.
  • Works with the Web Designer to develop website designs and multimedia graphics to convey Berkshire’s products, promote market messages, meet business objectives, and drive client responses.
  • Designs web multimedia including, but not limited to: user interface elements, buttons, banners, interactive forms, photo galleries, and slideshows.
  • Designs, develops, implements, and evaluates a variety of web-based deliverables and HTML e-mail campaigns.
  • Oversees website content lifecycle and updates as necessary.
  • Conducts SEM/SEO research, analysis, and reports on the results of that analysis.
  • Makes decisions on advertising direction, media placement, and designs to result in maximum lead generation, including but not limited to: overseeing the media calendar and media insertions.
  • Creates direct marketing and promotional pieces to support associated marketing campaigns.
  • Monitors the design and brand guides, updating as needed.
  • Provides creative support for internal communications, tradeshows, and other company efforts.

Required Skills

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of design fundamentals for advertising, such as type selection, color, presentation, layout, composition, readability, and optimization required.
  • Thorough knowledge of SEM/SEO best practices required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Flash required.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript required, thorough knowledge preferred.
  • Strong general computer skills required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
  • Project management skills required.
  • Must be deadline and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision required.
  • Ability to communicate with tact and courtesy required.
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of information as well as translate the information into an actionable strategy required.
